Admittedly, I am a huge supporter of the University of Utah and other universities as well. With all the recent rivalry games and upsets, I see it appropriate to say it how it is. YOU CAN'T WIN EVERY GAME. In fact, no team can win every game every year. With a lot of luck, my team was able to win against their rivals this year. It was a thriller and ended up with a blocked field goal for the win. What really irks me, and most people is how classless the losers always act. True, the winners can be a little extreme but it's their right. Some fans put their whole life into a game that ten years from now, nobody will remember. The game was awesome for me, what can you expect? But the losers and winners as well push it too far with their remarks and excuses. No matter how stupid some people act, you cannot pin it on the school because it goes both ways. So if you are sitting in your house crying right now because your team lost, don't go out and get in a fight. IT'S NOT WORTH IT! Truth is, it's not the end of the world so get over it. ON the other side of it, if you are on the winning side (like my utes) don't go too far. A true winner can be gracious. It really shows that your school is made up of mature people if you can take the victory and not flaunt it around! If you are one of those people out there that loves to make excuses when your team loses a game, please go hit your head on a rock. Okay, not really, but it is obnoxious. Enjoy either the sour taste of a loss or the sweet reward of a victory.

Some Fans Go TOO Far

Kick Back With Some Jack
Jack Johnson anyone? I think I'll take some. Personally, he's original, appealing and talented. In these days, it's hard to find someone who writes about actual natural highs. Most artists sing about the high of drugs, alcohol, etc. I appreciate his ability to sing about personal emotions, not just singing things that were written for him. I have a lot of respect for someone who writes music that the whole family can enjoy. It's rare to find. His clever rhythms make it enjoyable as well as relaxing. The lyrics are my favorite part. He can incorporate the most outrageous things into his songs and make it sound good. If you ask me, he is one of the best artists of the decade. He has given himself a name. Props to him for his achievements.
Appreciating Turkey Day
Thanksgiving- The famous day, surrounded by endearing traditions and rich culture. Each household busy in the kitchen, spicing up the pie or roasting a delicious turkey. Thanksgiving is second to Christmas to us Americans. It is a day of feasting till your belly is overflowing, a day of football, but most of all it is a day of family. On Thanksgiving, each member comes together to celebrate this revered holiday. Each respected person settles their differences and sits down to the table.
Although it is easy to lose yourself in the feast or festivities, try to remember why you are celebrating. The name itself is self-explicable. The main purpose of the day is to give thanks. But to what? The answer is to everything. Everything we have is a gift and a privilege. There are people in this world that literally have nothing to their name. I agree, there is too much to be grateful for, but you can start by thanking your parents. They are the people who chose to bring you into this world, raised you, provided you with the essentials and gave you love.
Other people to consider are your grandparents. They put profound effort into raising your mom and dad. Hopefully, your grandparents are still alive so you can thank them. Tell them with a smile or a hug, they'd appreciate the extra efforts. After all they've done to effect your life, they should be shown appreciation. Now hopefully all the things mentioned apply to the situation. If not, then I am sorry for mishap. Nevertheless, show them gratitude!
Some other relatives to consider are your friends and siblings. A friend may sound like an odd relative, but they are your family! If you consider the bond you've formed through friendship, it may be as strong or stronger than family bonds. Tell them how grateful you are to know them and how special they are to you. If you don't have siblings, then choose some of your best friends. If you don't have any friends or siblings then sorry Charlie, your out of luck. :)
There are many other ways to consider your Thanksgiving. Have a safe and wonderful Turkey Day. Remember the sacrifices that went in to make everything you have and are. Below are ten easy ways to show your appreciation. Thank you for reading, you make my Thanksgiving. ;)
1. Tell a loved one that you appreciate them.
2. Write a letter to a soldier and tell them that they are awesome.
3. Bake a special food for someone you are thankful for.
4. If able, write them a song to express gratitude.
